Please note that although you will be guided by a qualified mountain leader, hillwalking can involve a risk of injury. You need to accept an element of risk exists and you are advised to take out appropriate holiday insurance. Your leader will assess the group and weather conditions and may make appropriate changes on the day if required. This may involve a change of venue in poor weather, or an extension to your walk if conditions and group fitness allow.
You will need your general hillwalking gear appropriate to the time of year and conditions (see
here for more information ). For trips involving scrambling or climbing you may need a helmet and harness. For back-packing trips you will need a tent, cooking equipment, sleeping-bag and large rucksack. On some of the longer trips a mountain bike may be recommended. You are encouraged to bring your own, but we can supply some of the items if required.
Upon receiving a booking form, we will email you an invoice. The Navigation Sessions and any trips costing £50 or less must be paid in full to confirm booking. A deposit of £50 is required to confirm booking on any of the hillwalking, scrambling and climbing trips costing over £50. The balance must be paid in full at least 28 days prior of the start of the trip. If you have to cancel, deposits will be returned only if we manage to fill your space. Other payments will be returned if you cancel more than 28 days before the trip, thereafter these will be returned only if we manage to fill your space. Should we cancel your trip, then you will be refunded in full.
